"Enameled Gold Box, End Of 18th Century "
Rectangular box in enamelled 14-carat gold, hinged lid decorated with a scene representing a couple of young people entwined, draped in neoclassical clothing, approaching near an altar where a figure dressed in ancient style is officiating. The background presents a landscape decorated with a colonnade which stands out against a translucent royal blue enameled background revealing radiant guilloché work. The frame of the scene presents a frieze of circular patterns enameled in blue and left in reserve on a gold background. This frieze is repeated on the frame and on the background. The opening is decorated with black enameled floral motifs.
End of the 18th century. Prestigious hallmarks.
Foreign work, 14 carat gold.
Small restoration at the level of the net of the white frame.
