"Head Of Court Lady"
Interesting wood sculpture of a woman's head from the early 19th century, medieval style. Gentle, peaceful face with an enigmatic smile, made from a single piece of oak. Visible longitudinal slots inherent to the quality of old oak, the piece nevertheless remains homogeneous and solid. This head represents a noble woman wearing a veil with side folds cleverly arranged in a cascade and a wimple surrounding her face. Pretty curls framing the face Beautiful patina of light brown wood. The sculpture is presented on a modern metal base and remains removable. Total height with base: 52 cm. dimensions of the base of the plinth: 20 X 15.5 cm No restoration.
