"Enameled Silver Clock - Vienna, 19th Century"
Desk clock in enameled silver.

The circular base rests on 4 feet decorated with heads of winged angels, It is decorated with mythological scenes in painted enamel alternated with other enameled angel heads.
On this base, a heron also in partially enameled silver supports the case of the oval movement and decorated with painted enamel scenes with mythological decorations.
At the amortization, a small partially enameled silver faun plays the pan flute.

Viennese work circa 1860-1870.

Strongly inspired by the taste of the Renaissance which returned to fashion at that time, our clock reflects the characteristic attraction for this type of object which the bourgeoisie was fond of.
