Beautiful Betel box, resting on a circular pedestal, the edge of the lid decorated with a decoration in the shape of an open lotus flower and the summit socket symbolizing a stupa. The richness of the materials and the quality of the work tell us that this receptacle probably comes from an important Buddhist monastery. Silver, copper and native gold, finely incised decorations on the lid, good general state of conservation with old marks of use.
