"Rare Souvenir Album From The International Exhibition Of Decorative Arts Paris 1925 Art Deco"
Located in Paris between the Esplanade des Invalides near the Grand Palais, the Petit Palais and the Seine, the Exhibition which was held from April 28 to November 30, 1925 brought together pavilions from the regions of France and major foreign nations. It is up to each person to promote the excellence of their know-how in decorative arts. The greatest artists, interior designers and architects of the time such as Maurice Dufrêne, Jacques-Émile Ruhlman, René Lalique, Louis Süe, André Mare, Paul Poiret and Pierre Patout and many others rub shoulders, without forgetting the large Parisian factories and department stores. Particularly remarkable attractions mark the Exhibition, such as the monumental Concorde gate designed by the architect Pierre Patout or the one created by Edgard Brandt near the Grand and Petit Palais, the luminous fountains, such as the glass fountain by René Lalique measuring several meters high or the monumental vases of the Manufacture de Sèvres pavilion. Here is everything that the 49 original postcards from the period reveal to us, grouped together under their embossed binding with the name of the event. Night photos of the Exhibition aptly punctuate the album. Dimensions: 15 cm x 8.5 cm and 1.5 cm thick Good condition and complete, with no missing cards. The postcards forming the pages are a little difficult to turn, meaning that the album, which is almost 100 years old, has not been handled much! Other photos on request.
