"Two Original Watercolors By Gavarni. "
Two pretty original watercolors signed by the painter Gavarni, one of the most famous illustrators of the 19th century. Both represent female characters, a "grisette" and a woman in a "troubadour" costume. On each one the signature is clearly present even if it is a little "off". The colors are very fresh. Period frames in gilded wood with small gaps visible in the photos. Very charming . Dimensions: 38.5cm by 30.5cm. Old glasses. Gavarni is a very well referenced and documented artist.
