Amazing 283-piece silver-gilt flatware set for 48 and 24 people, by Aucoc & Cie, Paris, circa 1890. 
Ordered by Francisco Terry (1850-1908) for the Castle of Chenonceau

Very fine Louis XVI style model, engraved with monogram FT, comprising:
- 48 forks (18cm)
- 48 spoons (18,5cm)
- 48 knives (20cm)
- 48 fruit knives (20cm)
- 48 tea spoons (14cm)
- 24 ice cream spoons (14cm)
- 19 serving pieces

in a chest applied with a medallion engraved with the same monogram.
Marked: Minerve, 1st title (950/1000).

net weight in silver is 11kg830 without steel blade knives.
