"Palembang Bronze Kettle"
A magnificent bronze cauldron from Palembang or Minangkabau, East Sumatra. The cauldron sits on a raised base and has floral decorations all around. The handle is riveted and also has a floral decoration. The kettle has a beautiful light patina and is fitted with a copper lid. These kettles were filled with water for washing hands after meals.Condition: Good condition, minor signs of use and part of the cast iron handle was broken at some point, but still in good confition.
