"Pair Of Sconces With 3 Lights In Bronze And Pretty Paintings - 14th Century"
Pair of large Regency bronze wall lights with 3 arms of light. In the upper part an eagle framed by two cherubs and rolled acanthus leaves with at its top a pinnacle in the shape of a typically Regency fleur-de-lys. There are also mythological dolphins on each side. The sconces end in acanthus leaves supporting beaded bobeches on which the lighting bins rest. A magnificent central medallion, very good quality painting on metal representing period characters give the whole a rich, harmonious whole of very good quality.
