The bowl of octagonal form with spreading mouth rim, decorated in underglaze cobalt blue with river scenes alternating with a figure in a landscape.

A similar bowl can be found in the Sir Michael Butler collection, Inv. No. 1246. and is published in Leaping the Dragon Gate by Teresa Canepa and Katherine Butler, p. 145 pl. III.1.144.
Another similar bowl, but with two dragon-shaped handles is in the Rijksmuseum collection, Inv. No. AK-MAK 599. and is published in Chinese Ceramics in the Collection of the Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam by Christiaan Jörg.
