"Pierre Grisot (1911-1995) Abstract Composition Gouache On Paper"
Pierre GRISOT (1911-1995): Master of color and elegance Pierre GRISOT, born in Besançon in 1911, was an exceptional French figurative painter, recognized for the vivacity and elegance of his works which evoke the post- war 39-45. Born to a watchmaker father, his precocious talent led him to exhibit in Montmartre from the age of ten, before entering the École Supérieure des Beaux Arts. His first major Parisian exhibition took place at the Ror Volmar gallery in 1949. Quickly, his talent seduced amateurs and gallery owners, opening the doors to the most prestigious galleries in London, Tokyo, Venice, as well as museums in the Middle and Near East. East. GRISOT rubbed shoulders with and associated with masters such as Bonnard, Utrillo, Dufy, Vlaminck, and Marie Laurencin, some of whom became his friends. GRISOT's work is a vibrant tribute to Paris and its Parisiennes. With a refined touch, he was able to magnify the atmosphere of his paintings, playing on the seductive details inspired by the motif but reimagined by the imagination. Floral compositions, landscapes and portraits of women radiant with naughty modesty are among his favorite subjects. Far from the ephemeral trends and the "torchonné" works of certain contemporaries, GRISOT has devoted himself to timeless painting, capturing the fleeting light with ease and harmony. Its radiant, intense and bold color choices evoke the Arts-Deco era. Pierre GRISOT was not only a talented impressionist, but also a true master of sensations. Her works depict generous settings, alluring bouquets and ravishing female figures, whether coquettishly elegant or admirably undressed. With a palette rich in colors and a unique touch, he left an indelible mark in the history of French pictorial art, offering a tender and enchanting art that continues to amaze current generations.
