"Pair Of Louis XVI Medallion Armchairs Including One Stamped Dupain"
Suite of two Louis XVI medallion armchairs forming a pair because they are extremely similar, including one stamped by Adrien Pierre DUPAIN (received master in 1772) Carpenter Cabinetmaker installed rue de Charonne and having received orders from the Court of Versailles. The stamp is very recognizable by its round shape is accompanied by the JME jurande hallmark. They are made of waxed natural beech and rest on four fluted legs. Medallion files. They are covered with a petit point tapestry in good condition.
