Dayak Hampatong ancestral figure, in ironwood, Indonesia, Borneo, early 20th century. These guards were erected inside the village, in order to protect the community, here probably Ngadju or Ot Danum. Very good state of conservation with a beautiful gray patina and some vestiges of polychromy. Few signs of wear or accidents (minor / normal wear) Provenance: Claude de Marteau Collection.
