Gold Snuff Box And Music Box, Geneva

Snuff box with musical mechanism in yellow gold, rectangular in shape, decorated on all sides with a half of ears of corn on a wavy background in chiseled reserves of foliage scrolls or friezes of fleurons partially enameled in blue. The hinged lid is centered with a medallion with a trophy of Love (quiver). Mechanism to be restored.
IGRC goldsmith's mark for Georges Remond and Company active in Geneva between 1783 and 1815/1820.
Hallmark G in a cartridge for Geneva. P.3.G in an oval (worn) for Geneva 1814.
French hallmark: rooster head 1809-1819.
Two ET hallmarks.
Dim: W 2.55 in / D 1.77 in  / H 0.67 in.
Weight: 4.11 oz.
This type of flat wheel mechanism with pins and needles is similar to the production of the house of Daniel Isaac Piguet and Philippe Samuel Meylan, active in Geneva from 1811 to 1828 and who worked with JG Remond.
