Rare Louis XVI Furniture, Mahogany System and Mahogany Veneer, Decorated on the Front with Panels in European Chinese Lacquer Varnish, Stamped Godefroy DESTER + JME (Jurande Des Maîtres Ébénistes). Its particularity is that it opens with a large side leaf, opening with a secret system, hidden at the back, and revealing in its interior two drawers and a secret chest. It also opens on the front with a flap, covered with its old Moroccan, revealing 4 small drawers and three compartments. Its uprights are made of fluted pilaster, resting on small tapered feet. Its Top is a Brocatelle Marble from Spain embedded in an openwork Bronze Gallery. It is stamped on a rear pillar G. DESTER + JME. It measures 65 CM in length, 30 CM in depth and 107 CM in height. Dester set up his workshop on rue du Faubourg Saint-Antoine where we find his trace until 1790.
