First edition from 1655 of this work by Michel de Marolles (1600-1681): Table of the temple of the Muses, taken from the cabinet of the late Mr Favereau, published by Antoine de Sommeville, Paris 1655. Work containing 58 of the most illustrious fables of antiquity with annotations and explanations by the author, work including engravings made by Matham and Bloemart based on the cycle given by Abraham van Diepenbeeck (1596-1675), student of Rubens. superb condition for this work in a 19th century binding.
