Hermès, Sugar Bowl "oriental And Western Stone Marquetry", Limoges Porcelain flag

Object description :

"Hermès, Sugar Bowl "oriental And Western Stone Marquetry", Limoges Porcelain"
Limoges porcelain sugar bowl for the house of Hermès.
Part of the “Oriental and Western Stone Marquetry” collection from Maison Hermès, created exclusively for Hermès in Limoges in 1989.
Extract from the Hermès catalog:
"This sublime collection of porcelain is inspired by the work of marble marquetry as it was practiced in the 16th century in Florence: an original creation, its decor features, in the form of trompe l'oeil, hard stones such as lapis lazuli, jade, silicified wood , amber or even agate. No less than twenty-three colors are necessary to compose the wide variety of patterns where flowers, birds, fans or pearl necklaces intermingle. Beyond the refinement of a timeless table service, it is these veritable pictorial sets which have made, since its creation, the reputation of the "East and West stone marquetry" service".
The piece is signed HERMES in the decor, HERMES stamp under the piece.
