Paire de salières en Argent. Compiègne 1784 par Bouchon.

       Interesting and rare pair of salt shakers in solid silver with "Compiègne" hallmarks, from the Louis XVI period.
There are very few pieces listed for the city of Compiègne.

They are oval in shape and rest on four claw feet.
The silver frame is openwork with grooves and alternated with quartet decoration.
The interiors are in blue glass.
In the center, on each side, a medallion topped with a knot is engraved with initials only on one side.

Maître-Orfèvre : Dominique-Joseph BOUCHON, il est reçu à Compiègne en 1780, garde en 1785.
Maison-Commune : Millésime 84 pour 1784.
Charge : Généralité de Paris pour les menus de 1780 à 1789.
Décharge : tête de poule.
