"End Of The 18th Century Neoclassic Terracotta Bust "
Beautiful terracotta bust of a young charioteer, chariot driver during ancient games and tournaments. The work reflects a clear eighteenth-century style, with particular attention to the details of the character's face and expression. In the center of the chest, a medallion depicts a classic horse-drawn chariot, with the charioteer in command. On the back, the artist's engraving "D. (…) Taggiotto 1770" confirms the neoclassical dating of the work. Of Tuscan manufacture, it dates back to the end of the 18th century.Measurements: H x W x D 40 x 40 x 23cm
