"Louis XVI Chest Of Drawers "
Louis xvi period circa 1780, regional work from Eastern France, chest of drawers topped with restored Languedoc red marble. Rectangular in shape, it opens with three drawers in three rows, it is inlaid with rosewood curling on the V-shaped sides. On the front the exteriors are inlaid with rosewood wire, in the middle part a geometric composition of green tinted diamond. Finishing this drawer part is marquetry in rosewood quartefeuilles. The straight uprights with simulated grooves inlaid with Greek fillets. The work ends with sheathed feet. Ornamentation of re-gilded and chiseled bronzes. Restoration of use and maintenance with pad varnish finish
