"Blue Porcelain Cup In The Sèvres Style, 19th Century"
Oval bowl in polychrome porcelain, decorated with a polychrome cartouche with a gilt frame, representing a couple sitting in the grass, at the edge of a lake. The woman goes fishing while her young lover plays the flute. The foliage handles are enhanced with gold. The edges of the porcelain are decorated with a book and a bale of straws in reserves on a blue background. The book symbolizes reading and leisure, while the bale of straws evokes nature and agricultural activities. Apocryphal mark of Sèvres under the base, probably Samson.
