Returning from fishing, boat docking in the rocks at sunrise. Very beautiful lighting for this seaside scene at the foot of Vesuvius (?) On the shore, people, near a large stone arch, load the fruit of the peach on donkeys while on the rocks the fishermen fold up the nets. On the right, their boat ready to set sail again, in the background a fortress stands out against a mountain background.
At the bottom right a dedication in red: “to my dear Grandfather U. Isnard – 1857-”
