Turin, Giacomo Stagnon and Borgonio Giovanni Tommaso .
24 plates, forming a large wall map measuring about 200 x 250 cm , applied on a single mdf panel.
Famous and monumental map of Piedmont and its borders encompassing the northwestern part of the Italian Peninsula, as well as portions of present-day France and Switzerland, including Lake Geneva. Title on trompe-l'oeil drape, Liguria with sea animated by vessels, and wind rose at top. Contains numerous corrections from Borgonio's map, especially for the Alps chain, integrating for example Mont Blanc, which was missing from the 1680 map. Very good overall condition, a few vinyl glue marks.
