Superb and large imprint of the Grand Royal Seal of Louis XVIII.

The seal is made of green wax, affixed to lakes of red and green silk. This color of wax was used for letters patent with perpetual effect.

The seal comes in its original tin-plated iron box.

The obverse shows King Louis XVIII in majesty on his throne, wearing the royal crown and holding the scepter and the hand of justice, on a half fleur-de-lys background, surrounded by a frieze of flowers, crowns and fleur-de-lis. lily.

The reverse is decorated with the arms of France and Navarre surrounded by the collars of the order of the Holy Spirit and the order of Saint-Michels, placed on a scepter and a hand of justice in saltire, crowned with a crown royal.

The matrix is the work of medal engraver Nicolas Pierre Tiolier.
