Secretary With Flap In Marquetry, Napoleon III Period

Elegant secretary desk in inlaid wood and blackened wood with rich bronze ornamentation. Inspired by Louis XVI but typical of the Second Empire, we will note the care of the panels inlaid with diamonds and the beautiful ornamental bronzes, ingot molds, baguettes, base of lamps and epaulettes... Resting on four spinning top legs, ringed with bronze , the facade reveals three stacked drawers in the lower register. The flap reveals an interior in yellow and black wood revealing a set of three interior drawers. The back of the flap is lined with very well preserved original red velvet. A drawer surrounds the top of the piece of furniture topped with fine white recessed marble. Furniture presented for sale completely restored and varnished.
