"The Flutist, Around 1820"
Interesting graphite sketch representing a seated young flautist. this study, rapid and mastered, is full of softness, and, through its slender appearance, announces the spirit of certain art deco works (as the simplicity of the Austrian bidermaier anticipates the furniture of the 1920s through its geometric shapes). The sheet bears a collector's stamp. Good early 19th century frame.
