Circular in shape with lobes, resting on a slight heel. The presentation is more or less hollow, depending on the purpose of the plate. This one is slightly flat. The bottom, called the "basin", is surrounded by a more or less curved descent (or fall), bordered by a crown called the "wing" by manufacturers or "marli" in goldsmithing. White background with polychrome decoration, green and red flowers, called "Etruscan rosette", surrounded by red and blue polka dots surrounded by two braids with a background imitating porphyry, framed with gold fillets. Gold net on the edge. This PLATE comes from the “ETRUSCAN ROSETTE PORPHYRY ZONES” SERVICE. A drawing of the decoration of this plate appears in the album of plate drawings kept at the Sèvres Manufacture under number 170. It was delivered to Citizen SAUVEGRAIN on 29 Ventôse year VII (March 19, 1799), mentioned as a butcher or butchery suppliers to hospices or even suppliers to public establishments. Ref. : D.
