Pair of table candlesticks from the Christofle brand which belonged to the Compagnie des Messageries Maritimes before 1935, we can see the hallmark which represents a scale from 1844 to 1935 (see photo). Initially there were lead-weighted tealight holders with Louis XVI style decorations with reed foliage on the barrel and a laurel wreath for the base with the company logo in its center representing a crowned unicorn in a rampart wall on a marine anchor. The two silvered bronze candlesticks were very disturbed during their numerous crossings.
