Solid Silver Vase, Homage To Yvon Milhe-poutingon, 1965

One does not joke about rewards! Here are 440 grams of silver well spent by the Friends of the Oranie Aero Club who, in 1965, offered this beautiful vase to their beloved president, Yvon Milhe-Poutingon, who was expelled from Algeria in 1962.
Yvon Milhe Poutingon, born in 1902, became a reserve pilot in 1932, he was recalled as captain commanding the 1st squadron of GAOA 583 in the Levant. Remobilized in January 1943, he commanded the 51st Air Artillery Group and participated in the landings in Corsica and Provence and in the French campaign.
He was president of the Oranie Aeroclub from 1946 to 1962, president of the Algerian Aeronautical Federation and vice-president of the Union Française Aeronautical Federation. Reserve colonel, he has more than 2,000 flight hours, including 650 in a military capacity.
This vase is in perfect condition.
