"Brass Tea Tray Chased With Flowers & Polylobed, Chinese Turkestan, Circa 1900"
Brass trays decorated with friezes of flowers, Chinese ideograms in the center of a bouquet of flowers and exploded pomegranates.
The strongly polylobed border of 24 points of a rush sculpted and applied around the edge.
Under the frieze with a very 1900 decor, a frieze of medallions like numerous small halberds.
Object in very good condition from the end of the 19th century to the very beginning of the 20th century

From the 18th century to the first half of the 19th century, while the West distinguished between the various Turkish languages (branches of Altaic languages), some foreign scholars and writers have coined the term "Turkestan" to refer to the region south of the Tianshan Mountains and northern Afghanistan, which generally covers the areas from southern Xinjiang to Central Asia.
