Alexis Noel (1792-1871)
Historical landscape painter and lithographer, student of his father Alexandre Noel and Louis David, he began at the Paris Salon in 1808 and continued to appear there until 1850. Alexis became known above all as lithographer and published: Picturesque and military journey in France and Germany, Souvenir of Tourraine, Souvenir of Poitou and Anjou, Panorama of Paris and a series of illustrations for the Voyage of Dumont d'Urville.
