"Barbotine Flower Pot From The Onnaing Earthenware Factory "
Beautiful Art Nouveau flower pot from the Onnaing earthenware factory. The very cut upper edge is decorated on each side with five large flowers, three carmine red and two alternating purple. The heart of each flower is golden yellow. The tones are not bright but rather pastel and softened with white touches. The six legs decorated with a wide scalloped edge all around the piece are also golden yellow, as are the handles. The handles are very corrugated and attached to the pot in the middle, leaving only two small holes. The background of the decoration is green-brown. The silhouette is balanced, the six fairly unmarked legs giving the whole thing a good impression of stability. Pure product of Art Nouveau, this pot belongs to a beautiful lineage of Onnaing earthenware of which we present another equally attractive model. Beautiful full sun signature from 1900 accompanied by the model number 721. The dimensions are generous, 22.5 cm opening, 33 cm from one tip to the other of the handles and 22 cm high. Note a very small chip inside the upper edge and a slight chip on the top of one of the flowers visible in the last two photos. These two small defects are only perceptible to a trained eye and in no way affect the aesthetics of the piece. This model surprisingly called "Daffodils" will seduce you with the cheerfulness of its colors.
