JAPAN, KUSARIGAMA, EDO period (1603 - 1868) From the 17th to the 19th century. Kobudo weapon composed of a KAMA + Chain + Weight. Traditional Japanese weapon consisting of a KAMA (Japanese equivalent of the sickle) of a chain (KUSARI) with an iron mass at its end (FUNDO). Weapon developed during the Muromachi period. Blade 16 cm long and 4 cm high with 0.5 cm thickness on the back of the blade. Blade with 1 side with three sides and the other with 1 side with 1 edge from heel to tip and peak tip. Weathered wooden handle with a slot in the wood, see photo. Height of the handle 22 cm Length of the Kusari (Chain) 160 cm. Length fully extended 185 cm.
