Pair Of Mid-century Italian Gold-black Side Tables With Smoked Glass 1960s

Pair of very decorative Italian side tables from the 1960s.
The black lacquered aluminum frame has 3 legs on each side - in the middle and at the top the rod runs with 1.5cm single.
The striking cast resin connectors make the tables a real eye-catcher. The connecting elements are covered with gold foil, and the transverse round rod is attached to them with a visible iron screw. There are 2 brown, relatively thick smoked glass shelves that soften the gold and dim the tables a little.

The tables are decorative, versatile in their use due to the double base and light on their feet.
The lacquered aluminum has been polished and the corner joints have been cleaned.
There are slight signs of ageing on the corner joints but these give the whole thing a charm, the lacquered metal is immaculate as are the glass tops.
