"Bifrons Rosary Beads, Bone, 19th Century"
Set or collection of three bifron or biface rosary beads representing, on one side, an Adam's skull and, on the other, the face of Christ wearing the crown of thorns. This small sculpture is a sculpture in the round made up of a single piece of bone capable of allowing the rosary cord to pass through its center. The dating of these grains is subject to doubt even if it seems more realistic to us to date them from the 19th century than from the 16th or 17th century as in certain public collections. Average size: 2.8x2cm.
