[London], circa 1880-90, glass, brass decorated with stars and bakelite with wave pattern. Elegant lorgnette with six prints. “Signed Gilbert & Sons” (address scratched off*). Optics in good condition. Crack on the bakelite body.The James Gilbert and Son house specializing in metal ornamentation is still in existence today, it is located in London at 129 The Vale, Acton.
