"Louis XVI Style Buffet In Marquetry And Gilt Bronze Stamped Vincent Epeaux In Paris"
Vincent Épeaux (1862-1945) – Parisian cabinetmaker close to Hector Guimard and promoter of art nouveau. He obtained the silver medal at the Universal Exhibition of 1900 and took charge of the industrial patronage of the Enfants de l'Ébénisterie in 1912.

Magnificent sideboard at support height made of rosewood and mahogany marquetry, richly decorated with Very finely chiseled gilded bronze.

Opening with four drawers and two doors in geometric marquetry composed of rosewood diamonds interspersed with mahogany fillets.

The central and side niches are covered with mahogany veneer presented in sheet form, two marble tablets adorn the sides.

Thick "fleur de pêcher" marble top molded in the groove, matching the central and side projections of the piece of furniture.

Note the finesse of the bronzes and the original gilding which remains very fresh.

Around 1900.
