"Dance Card, Notebook, Charles X Period, "madame Irlande, Palais Royal""
So-called "dance card" notebook from the Charles X period. It is in white mother-of-pearl engraved “Souvenir” and engraved with foliage decorations. In the center the oval gold medallion with its enameled thought. The frame is in gilded bronze decorated at four corners with naiads and flowers and foliage. The lead pencil stylus and turquoise tip keeps the notebook closed. The interior is silk (a few stains and pencil marks). On the cardboard page of the notebook a label reads: “Ireland, Royal Palace, n°28”. It measures 2,40 inches x 1,89 inches. France, Paris, circa 1825.
