We present a splendid set that we can attribute to the cabinetmaker Maurice JALLOT (1900 - 1971). We found two armchairs similar to ours during the TAJAN sale in Paris, June 12, 2007, lot no. 149 (see catalog photograph). Our set is composed of: a very beautiful light oak desk composed of a left-hand box with 5 drawers on one side and a compartment opening onto a door on the other side of the box, a tray and the all resting on a golden metal base, as are the drawer handles. Format: Height: 74cm - length: 135cm and width 57cm of a pair of light oak armchairs. Spindle feet ending in brass sabots. Slightly recessed armrests. Covered in cognac leather. Format: Height: 91cm - width: 57cm and Depth 58cm. Also a pair of light oak seats. Spindle feet. Covered with green fabric. Height: 88.5cm - width: 46.5cm and length: 54.5cm 1940s Provenance: Strasbourg headquarters of the SANDOZ Laboratory (rue Seyboth) Private collection, Strasbourg (acquired from the previous one) State of conservation: In its original state . Overall very good. Some wear on the gilding and the furniture (feet). In any case, it works immediately. We keep its key (box door) The vase and the lamp in the photograph are not included in the sale of this set. Sold separately. We have a carrier who can deliver throughout France.
