François DIANA is a painter born in Marseille in 1903. He entered the Marseille School of Fine Arts at the age of 17 and rubbed shoulders with many Marseille artists such as A. Serra, Toncini and Pierre Ambrogiani. After the war he became a professor of Fine Arts and established himself as one of the major figures of the Péano painters of the Rive-Neuve school in Marseille.
