"Indian Box, Rosewood And Ivory, Vizagapatam, 19th C."
Rosewood(?) box with applications of interlacing, fillets and engraved and chiseled ivory bands. The cover formed by a motif numbered in the center "ESN", and two cartridges representing a lion and an elephant. No doubt ordered by an Englishman in the workshops of Vizagapatam, for his personal use or to make a present on his return to England. Four claw feet, an original key. Good general condition.
