Candelabra "with Sphinxes" André Charles Boulle flag

Object description :

"Candelabra "with Sphinxes" André Charles Boulle"
Imposing gilded bronze candelabra signed by bronzier Henry Dasson, a reinterpretation of the model created by André Charles Boulle (designed by Jean Berain), our model has seven arms of light arranged at different levels. Resting on a triangular base decorated with sphinxes, the balustered shaft is decorated with medallions of portraits of emperors. The animated S-shaped sconces end in a ram's head before welcoming the binets. The fineness of the carvings and the quality of the gilding attest to the know-how of the famous bronzier Henri Dasson. The base is engraved with the artist's signature as well as the date 1881. Weight: 11.2kg Perfect condition of the gilding, without any loss or restoration.
