"Reliquary With Engraving Of Saint Agnes - Work Of The Annonciades - 18th Century"
In a gilded wooden frame are six relics surrounding an enhanced engraving which would be Saint Agnes due to the presence of the attributes of the sword, the pyre and the palm of the Martyr. The so-called cramped relics include those of Agnus Dei and Saint Urban. The whole thing is organized in a montage of colorful paperrolls.
On the back of this reliquary from the beginning of the 18th century, there is an interesting mark of ownership with a representation of a monstrance attributing this work to the monastery of Annonciades Célestes de Langres.
The Order of the Virgin Mary, known as the Annonciade, was founded in 1502
