Carl Gustav Hermann Gladenbeck (1827-1918) is the founder of the very large foundries “Aktien-Gesellschaft Gladenbeck”. He is known for producing high quality bronze castings in the 19th and early 20th centuries (1851 to 1926). The bronze foundry is also known for producing important statues and monuments, such as the Kant Monument in Königsberg, Berlin's Victory Column, designed by Friedrich Drake.
