"Half-moon Console Louis XVI Tripod In Golden Wood Marble Top "
Pretty tripod console in gilded wood, Louis XVI style and Napoleon III period. Half-moon shaped, its belt is decorated with openwork rings framed with acanthus leaves. The assembly squares are carved with rosettes. Heart-shaped friezes underline the low molding of this belt which dominates the three legs. These three feet, highlighted by large, richly carved acanthus leaves, support the belt with a large crozier carved with bells on the front and side rosettes. They meet at the bottom and frame a large urn in gilded and carved wood and rest on a trilobed base with trianon gray patina framed by gilded moldings and carved with rosettes. The whole is topped with a breccia marble with 3 projections and a fillet molding profile.
