Large bronze sculpture with original double medal and brown patina, representing a young girl sitting on a fountain and holding a broken jug in her hand, it is signed Math Moreau hors competition, numbered 5966 and bears a medal of honor stamp on the terrace, it rests on a pivoting base. Old cast iron from the end of the 19th century. Mathurin MOREAU (1822-1912), champion of feminine grace, entered the Paris School of Fine Arts in 1841 in the workshops of Jules Ramey and Auguste Dumont.
