Superb and rare tripod pedestal table from the Louis XIV period in walnut. It rests on a volute tripod base ending in a volute and decorated with sculptures of foliage and flowers and finely carved scrolls. The central hexagonal shaft is also adorned with rosaries carved in elegies. The octagonal shaped top is tiltable and removable. It is lined with a period tapestry made especially for this tray, the edges finished with a baguette all around. Work of high quality and rare for this period having remained in very original condition with slight wear to the tapestry. Superb work of relief sculpture
