Penelope, a figure from Greek mythology, waited for twenty years for the return of her husband Ulysses, who left for the Trojan War and was lost on her return. To avoid marrying one of her suitors, noble suitors for her hand, she implemented the clever stratagem of the web: during the day she wove the shroud for Laertes, father of Ulysses, while at night she unraveled it . Having promised the suitors that she would choose her future husband at the end of the job, she endlessly postponed the moment of choosing her. Penelope's cunning, however, lasted less than four years due to a treacherous handmaid who reported the queen's deception to the suitors. Eventually, Odysseus returned, killed the suitors, and was reunited with his wife.
