"Monstrance Wooden Reliquary - XVIII"
An Italian work around 1750. At the heart of our beautiful monstrance in carved and gilded wood, we find a rich and precise work of cannetilles of gold and silver thread with glasswork. The whole is organized around an engraving enhanced with gouache which could represent Saint Matthew holding the purse which allows him to be identified. Saint Nicomedes, Saint Fausta, Martyr in 308, but also Saint Incogniti, Saint Eutrope Martyr and Venusti Martyr are present through their relics.
