"Travel Box With Toiletries From The Napoleon III Period."
Pretty blackened wooden travel box with inlaid decoration of brass, tortoiseshell and mother-of-pearl. It is also decorated with finely chiseled brass moldings and rests on four bronze feet. This set intended for travel includes several essentials: A toiletry bag, with crystal bottles and blackened wooden brushes (one bottle is missing, the lid remains). Another sewing one including scissors and miscellaneous. A last one composed of an inkwell, letter opener and seal. We can observe in the photos that not all the objects are mentioned in the description, some of which have suffered the ravages of time (seal, brushes, shoehorn see photos). The box is in very good condition, traces of wear in the interior compartments. W/D/H: 35 x 25 x 16 cm.
